Recently, Korean developers informed the Melbet APK platform that their battle royale PC game, Super People 2, will cease operations on August 21 due to a continuous decline in player numbers. The official statement noted that the development team had made ongoing efforts to adjust gameplay balance and improve the in-game environment, but the shrinking player base has made it impossible to sustain the game’s core experience.
As a multiplayer online game, Super People 2 relies heavily on a stable player count. With fewer players, matchmaking times increased, and fair competition became harder to achieve—ultimately eroding the core gameplay that once defined the title. The remaining active users have dropped to a level that can no longer support continued service, prompting the decision to shut down early access altogether. Super People was a self-developed, self-published title from a Korean studio, officially released on PC in October 2022. Unlike other battle royale games, it focused on fast-paced mechanics, an array of distinctive characters, flashy skills, and an arsenal of unique weapons. At its peak, third-party data shows the game boasted over 47,000 concurrent players, successfully attracting attention from gamers around the globe.
However, despite its praised gameplay mechanics, the title was quickly plagued by rampant cheating. This led to a mass exodus of players frustrated by the lack of fair play. In response, the developers launched a full-scale overhaul and rebranded the experience as Super People 2, investing heavily in anti-cheat efforts. Even with major updates and improvements, Melbet APK players saw the game’s peak 24-hour user count plummet shortly after relaunch.
